A lot of people have been asking me how I come up with my poses and honestly I can attest that I struggle once in front of a camera because I don’t know what to do with my body. It’s not that I don’t feel comfortable with my body or that I’m camera shy sometimes you just don’t know what to do you’re your body.
Regardless of the time of day or week, it’s become next to impossible to scroll through your Instagram feed without seeing handfuls of OOTD (Outfit of the Day) posts. Between photos of your family and friends it’s become a regular conundrum to find a bunch of fashion bloggers oozing street style fabulousness with “tap for details” comment. Being a fashion blogger and street style photographer I have started to see a pattern of some poses which I now can pass the Knowledge to looking as fabulous as these stylish people.
Lots of love

Giving you that glaze peaceful look, you can never go wrong with this pose.
Act bored
Best done looking straight into the camera with a hint of anger Look at it with anger and a dash of attitude.
The Look Down
Most flattering from the side as you walk, creating an illusion of a longer leg line. The look says, you’re not asking for attention, you look chic, and are not even trying mostly your clothes do the talking.
The Hand-In-Pocket
While standing slightly pigeon-toed, look straight into the camera or shyly look away from the camera, give the knee a slight bend and tuck one hand in your pocket.
lol I dunno where we are always heading to ;P
All bloggers have a thing for walls, they are the perfect complimentary to our outfits. You lean your body against a wall, pretend to be waiting for someone and then look down or look away to make it seem more natural.
Laughing Into the Abyss
Always gives a non-nonchalant feel to the picture.
The Crouch
With so many variations to it, the crouch is slowly growing to a blogger staple.
The Knee-Pop
Comes in handy when wearing wide-legged pants — the leg separation prevents them from looking like a skirt in photos. Its an instant way to make your legs look longer.

Position your feet as if you’re taking baby steps, lean forward as if about to move, and take the picture, It’s the secret to true #OOTD magic.
The Armpit Hair-Out
Aside from the obvious cooling yourself on a hot day, the one-arm-up pose is model-approved and instantly chic. Sticking one leg out and sporting a parted pout complete the overall look.

The bag and boots pose
This picture only showcases the ankles, shoes, and bag of the day,a watch, flower, plant or any object that accentuates the picture.
The Laid-Back Profile
Nonchalantly looking at something in the distance, this pose is supposed to showcase the head-to-toe, front-meets-side view of an outfits.
Take a walk.
This is probably the easiest if them all because all you have to do is ask your photographer to set his camera on burst mode while you’re sashaying down the road. Excellent for an awesome paparazzi shot!
The Straight-On Street-Style Veteran
With legs hip-width apart, lean more weight to one side and keep your arms hanging down. This is street style photographer gold.
The Clothes-In-Motion
For an artsier, slightly less contrived outfit photo, have your friend or photographer snap you while you’re moving for a chic and frame-worthy in-motion shot.
The Live-Action Shot
You’re chic and sophisticated, and while you might not have time to stop, you’ll certainly get your picture taken. You’re the type who doesn’t have to advertise your fashion sense, it’s naturally apparent. What’s more, the look away is perfect for showcasing a great blowout when your hair catches the breeze behind you.
